Infographic News Blips_The Other News

Every episode of ABC program HungryBeast featured a segment called "The Other News". My graphics team would bring to life 3 bits of obscure news in each episode as bright, technicolor motion graphics bursts.

This a selection of some of my favourite that I worked on during seasons 1 & 2.

Infographic_DNA Test Results

Kirk Docker produced a story for HungryBeast about the experience of getting a genetic test of his future health problems.

We needed a clear, concise way to display his results within the segment.

Infographic_Wikileaks Profile

In the wake of the CollateralMurder.com scandal, when video emerged of US Apache pilots firing on Reuters journalists in downtown Baghdad, the HungryBeast team rushed to compile a profile on the group responsible. I put together the graphics for them with just a few hours to spare before broadcast.

Robot Wars_15min Documentary

Robot Wars was originally aired across 3 weeks on HungryBeast. The series of segments looks at the current (as of Sept. 2009) state of remote warfare technology and the ethical implications of its use.

The story features Leading analyst Peter W. Singer, from the Brookings Institute in Washington.

I wrote, cut and produced the story with lots of support from Sarah Douglas, Andrew Denton and the rest of the HungryBeast crew.
